Ashridge, Bluebells

Every year I have gone up to Ashridge at this time to see the Bluebells blossom and to take some photos. This was the first time I had my handy 500D to try and capture the beauty (Unfortunately I don't feel these photos do it much justice).

**Lucky Shot** On the walk back to the car, five deer just ran from the bushes a crossed a dirt track in front of us and I managed to take this before the last one pasted.

HDR compare

Once again I've been playing around with taking and editing HDR images. It's a technique that allows a greater dynamic range of the lightest and darkest areas of an image.  I thought that I'll compare for you a 'normal' photo straight from the camera and then the same image with the HDR.

Photobucket

This isn't the best example of using HDR photography but you can get the idea. See how much detail you can now see in the the HDR photo on the tree trunks. In the standard photo it's much too dark to pick out the detail.

My enjoyment with HDR continues....
