DOG DRIVING CAR!

I went down to Waitrose today and reversed parked into the bay, turned the engine off and looked to my right.... What did I see staring back at me in the driving seat? A DOG! For a split second I was actaully freaked out and jumped back in my seat a little. He (the dog) gave me a look as if this was normal.... was all a bit strange. I had a small compact camera with me, so quickly took a few pictures. Would this freak you out? The second picture (gif) is pretty much what happend to me when I looked over...

Astrophotography

These images bellow are a result of the second time I have tried taking pictures of the nights sky. On the 28/09/11 there was a new moon (no moon in the nights sky) and the weather was also very warm for this time of year. It wasn't until I got into the fields where there is little light pollution that there was low level fog, which wasn't ideal. Anyway these are some of the shots taken that night, using the Kit lens 18-55mm at f3.5, iso 1600 for and a exposure time of 25sec.

CAT ATTACK!

There was a great moment where these two cats noticed each other, one ran back the other soon noticed and starting to follow. I managed to document it with photos and decided to turn it into a comic style story.

Messge To Bears T-shirts

Messge to Bears (aka MTB) are a band from Oxford who were so kind enough to play at our wedding last year. I designed this simple t-shirt for them and today in the post two arrived for us!

Bellow are some of the ideas from start to finish.

1) Using Pen, Pencil, Ink and paint at first to create a more textured feel on different outlines of bears.

2) Scanned the images in and fitted them on t-shirt outline while manipulating them to create more ideas.

3) The final, best three images were chosen and then one was chosen from them :)

These pictures were taken with the 50mm, but in very low light, so please forgive these photos ;)

Kona Operator dh

This was a perfect opportunity to use the 50mm lens when the sun was low in the sky.

Smile Japan Exhibition (ganbare Japan)

On the 13.08.11 we helped raise money for the Japanese Red Cross fund by taking part in an exhibition with the subject 'Smile Japan'. Here are some of the artist work, all pictures taken with the 18-55mm kit lens. Exhibition website here: http://ganbarejapan1308.blogspot.com

The Farmers Fields

There has been lots of bad weather lately, so not many good opportunities to take the camera out. One evening last week was very nice, so we went up to the farmers fields just after sun set. This is what we saw, taken with the kit lens 18-55mm

Lovely English weather...

Unfortunately I haven't been able to go out much lately with my camera due to the terrible weather. Its has been sometime since I have posted here so bellow are a few photos I took last summer (When there was actually some good weather!). Let hope we get our summer soon!

All taken with the Tamron 55-200mm

London MCM Expo Exhibition 2011 & Hyde Park

On Saturday (28.05.11) we went to the MCM Expo exhibition at the London ExCeL center (Londons Comic Con). It seems I was more fascinated with everything around me instead of taking any decent pictures. Afterwards we went to Hyde Park to see if we could watch the Champions League final between Barcelona and Manchester United. That plan didn’t turn out too well as they weren’t showing the football there!

A wall of Gundam models!

Bellow is two HDR pictures taken in Hyde Park. I edited the colours in Photoshop to create a darker feel as the weather wasn’t too good that day.

Animals and Other Small Creatures

All these photos were shot with the Tamron 55-200mm lens.

While most people were indoors when the Royal Wedding of William and Kate was on, we decided that it would be a perfect time to visit a small place just outside London called Paradise Wildlife Park. Bellow are just a few, of many photos taken that day (29/04/11).

---------------------
Over the bank holiday weekend we went for a small trip to Southampton. Unfourtantly I didnt get my camera out much, but I did have it on me when we came up-close to a (wild?) rabbit.

---------------------
Went for a walk today (08/05/11) an hanging from a tree, blowing in the wind were lots of small spiders. It was a challenge to get a decent photo of them, but the ones which did come out nice really look great due to the smooth background.

This is a 100% crop of the previous image. For a tiny spider moving around and getting blow about in the wind, the cheap Tamron did a fantastic job (I think)!

Ashridge, Bluebells

Every year I have gone up to Ashridge at this time to see the Bluebells blossom and to take some photos. This was the first time I had my handy 500D to try and capture the beauty (Unfortunately I don't feel these photos do it much justice).

HDR Photo of the Bluebells.
**Lucky Shot** On the walk back to the car, five deer just ran from the bushes a crossed a dirt track in front of us and I managed to take this before the last one pasted.
